Restaurantes en Playa del Carmen

During our time in Mexico we spent almost 3 weeks in Playa del Carmen in total so we got to try some good places to eat.
If you are heading to Playa soon, here is our honest reviews of these places:

1. La Floresta 3.8/5 ☆
Axel found this place on google maps and he was very excited about it as it had good reviews. We really like fish tacos and this was a fish taco place so obviously we had to give it a try. The place is more local and located in a different neighbourhood then most restaurants on this list. As for the food, it was great but a bit expensive for what it was. The tacos were very simple. They were still good though. Bring cash!

2. Mariskinky 4/5 ☆                                                                Very cool seafood restaurant in the centre of PDC! The restaurant is decorated very pretty and the food and drinks are also great. They have a big selection of different seafood  dishes on their menu. The perfect place to go after a beach day!

3. Cueva del Chango 4.5/5
Perfect place to go for brunch or breakfast. It was my first time trying chilaquiles and they were sooo good. The place itself is very pretty as it is outside and there is a lot of greenery and like the name suggests it's like a 'cave'. Located in the centre of Playa.

4. Nativo 3/5
A very cool colourful restaurant to go to for breakfast and/or brunch as well. They have very large juices which are very delicious! It was my first time trying enchilidas and they were great. Sadly our experience was ruined because of aggresive behaviour by a waitress. It was a shame because the place itself is cool and the food and drinks were also good (although we preferred Cueva del Chango). Because of this bad experience we do not recommend this place.

5. Las Hijas de La Tostada 4/5
Another seafood restaurant! In terms of vibe and menu this place is quite similar to Mariskinky. But it's definitely also worth a try! They have a big menu with a variety in seafood dishes. The battered fish taco was amazing and so was the tuna al pastor. I want to go baaackkkkk!!!!

I cannot wait to get back to Playa and eat at all of these places again!!!
